FAQ

What do I get after payment?
A gift certificate in PDF: it carries the promo code, the redemption deadline and a QR code linking to the redemption page. It arrives in your inbox and stays on the “My gifts” page, so you can download it any time.
How does the recipient redeem the gift?
They open sql-academy.org/premium and enter the promo code from the certificate — Premium switches on immediately. An SQL Academy account is required; signing up takes a minute. Scanning the QR code works too: it opens the same page with the code already filled in.
When do the six months of Premium start?
On the day the recipient redeems the code, not on the day you paid. They have a year to redeem it, so the gift can wait for the right occasion.
Do you send the certificate to the recipient?
No. We only write to you — not a single email to the recipient. The gift stays a surprise and you hand it over yourself: as a file in a messenger, as a printout, however you like.
The email never arrived or I lost the file — what now?
Open the “My gifts” page: every certificate you bought is there and can be downloaded again at any time. If the email is missing from your spam folder too, write to admin@sql-academy.org.
How do I know the gift has been redeemed?
The “My gifts” page shows the status of every certificate: “Not redeemed yet” or “Redeemed” with the date.
Can I buy several gifts?
Yes, as many as you like. Every payment issues its own promo code, so the codes never overlap and you can hand them to different people.
What if Premium is already active — mine or the recipient’s?
Buying a gift does not touch your own Premium: the code is not tied to your account. If the recipient already has Premium, the code cannot be stacked on top of it — they should redeem it later, and the one-year window makes that easy.
